The brief here was to visually interpret a dialogue between two garbage truck drivers in New York. At first I was intrigued by the dialogue but before long I found the characters were quite attention seeking and nonsensical. The typography attempts to show the degradation of importance in information over time.
I practice typographic layouts on a regular basis above are a couple of examples of ones I am happy with.
Above is a typeface the typeface I've called Tolcross after where I live in Edinburgh. This was a self initiated task to create a typeface with an illustrative element to it. Part of my inspiration for this was from the slick fonts on the site

These are a series of buttons I created for a freelance project for www.songforsomeone.com. Each button plays a musical tune that is customised to the users personal details. These buttons and several others will be uploaded onto the site shortly.
This is a poster I designed and art directed for a competition held by the Scottish Poetry Library in 2007. The design was to advertise for a series of poems on different subject matters.
E3P Logo Design
This was a design done for an energy solutions agency. E3P wanted a logo that projected the idea of an environmentally friendly, reliable company that are technically advanced and globally significant.
Logo Design for Red Cross
This was a Logo design made for the British Red Cross' recruitment arm. The guidelines were that it must only use Helvetica and black, white and red colours.
AKQA
I formed part of a design team at AKQA in 2007 working on a web application for Richard Branson's charity arm, Virgin Unite. I took ownership of creating and managing logos and assets from the client and created a version of the Rockwell typeface. This is a poster I designed for the 'Hugo Create' campaign. The brief was to design a poster on theme of music, featuring Hugo Boss aftershave as the subject.
